There is an older gentleman across from me. At least 75. He is reading magazines like People and US Weekly. His hands shake. He answered his phone in the library. He will be picking up ultra light cigarettes for someone on his way home, in the blue box.
Recently, I was in Monroe, WI. Location of the only cheese maker in the USA that produces Limburger cheese. My friends and I order a round of Limburger and onion sandwiches. I thought it was really gross in taste, texture and smell. Enough so that I only ate 2 bites.

In the movies there are often scenes in a 'control room' where the people are tense because they are at the cusp of witnessing something catastrophic. When said disaster does not occur an eruption of joy via clapping, yelling, hugging, etc ensues.
Does this really happen?
When I was in eighth grade my dog ran out the back door and made a mad dash into the street. Here, his head was run over by a truck. The driver did not stop. He was dead. I picked him up and got blood on my favorite (cargo) pants. I got to school a few minutes late. The principal said "Mr. M you gotta set your alarm earlier" or something very close to this while maintaining the banality. I said "Actually, my dog was killed and I wanted to change out of my bloody pants." Shizzam. It would be cool if he remembered that and stopped saying obvious things.
This phone lets you record music. You can do multitrack jam sessions with peoples all over the globe at the same time, if they have the phone. They you can edit on the phone. I wonder how well it works.

During my bout of 5th grader fears of death, I was at the same time afraid of never ending after life. Infinity seems really scary. I was also scared that people (i.e. grandparents) might be watching me doing 'bad' stuff. Now that I no longer subscribe to these views of the beyond its less scary. Whatever the case, my Mom is in a better place now and I hope she doesn't mind the bad stuff.
