stone soup.

Yesterday I made a whole wheat honey walnut bread. It is/was delicious. I haven't been riding my bike in this winter weather, though I'd like too. Bike riding is sweet, so I figure with this freak weather that I'll make an effort to do so. That is something scary to think about: riding a bike in a big city. Other things to note: empire apples are delicious and Bigelow spiced chai is not so good.

Are you mopping up what I'm spilling?

Today I remembered that I took a course in high-school that was "distance learning." Six of sat in a room with an instructor and a cameras and microphones. 4 other students were in a room at a school 15 miles away. It was fun and entertaining.

In other news: salt makes food tasty as does hot sauce (which, may contain salt). Whilst in the past I may have shied away from it, it really does finish flavor.

The dentist told me my "home care" was good.

Tales from the basement

Recently, I have been unable to read books or listen to music with any sustainability. But when I do it is usually quite enjoyable. So do I listen/read more or do I keep it in short supply to make it more appreciated? I do allow myself to be consumed by thoughts of cooking and recipes. Which I really do not know all that much about. I also don't make posts of things I make, because if they are good, I want to keep them to myself selfishly at that. I went on google analytics the other day and saw that top referral to my blog via a google search is 'american flag tattoo.' In my WheresGeorge escapades I got hit the other day that said "got this bill in a weed deal" in the comments section: funny. As for food, if you have the chance get something made with a fresh tortilla. It will be delicious.

This week saw the closet thing to a car crash that wasn't a car crash. I ate some Salvadoran food that was delicious.

So yesterday whilst driving my Chevy Beretta all of a sudden my gas pedal dropped to the floor. After the hazards went on, some pushing, honking in my direction, talking on the phone to my mechanic dad with poor patience, and waiting for my buddy with the socket set -- the problem was fixed not without a little blood or dirt. you know that stuff that makes one feel real man-like.

My old home ...

Hello,
I thought it might be fun if I shared these images with you.

I didn't go inside, but the dudes who live next door did and they said it was totally messed up (e.g. major water damage and floor looks like it will sink in at any moment. I think the scant pictures I have tell this tale well enough. Apparently it was vacant and left unlocked and some vandals went to town. How no one noticed I am not sure it must have taken at least a few minutes. From what I here it is slated for demolition and will become apartments.
